Intricate bridal henna designs take real time — both to apply and to darken properly — so the planning starts well before your wedding day. As soon as your date is confirmed, book your henna appointment; wedding season slots fill quickly, especially for longer, more detailed designs. Most brides schedule their henna 1-2 days before the wedding itself rather than the morning of, since the design needs several hours of paste contact time plus another day or so for the stain to fully darken. If your event includes multiple ceremonies, talk through the timeline with your artist — some brides plan a lighter design for one function and save a more elaborate one for the main event. Whatever the schedule, avoid water contact on fresh henna for as long as possible, and skip lotions or oils on the area until the stain has fully set.
